Dave and Desiree Knott originally
started their careers in the IT arena. In technical
terms, they were referred to as geeks. They met while
working for the same company and soon discovered they were
meant for each other.
In January, 2004, they learned their
jobs were being outsourced. It was time to do something
for themselves. Having collectively spent 36 years in IT,
it only took
.068 seconds to realize they were ready for something
completely different.
Two things were certain. They
wanted to work together and they wanted to bring Pippin, their
African Gray Parrot, to work. Dave, a homebrewer since
1992, had always wanted to run his own business.
Combining his love of brewing with his dreams of
entrepreneurship was a perfect match. Soon the idea of a
homebrew shop in Tulsa took on a life of its own. When
the perfect location fell in their laps, Dave and Desiree decided it was
destiny and High Gravity became a reality.
